Make Your Toilet Odourless With Ease.

Image result for white vinegarGetting rid of urine odour from the toilet is tough but can be done. Lots of people spend good money on expensive cleaning agents but still end up with a pervasive odour in the toilet. Most of the smell comes from stale urine stains that are left from not cleaning the toilet properly.

The best method of removing nasty urine odours from the toilet is use ingredients that will neutralize the uric acid present in urine and also kill microorganisms like bacteria, fungi and mold with their spores.

My list of 4 inexpensive ingredients or products that will effectively give you an odourless toilet are below:
    Image result for bicarbonate of soda picturesImage result for hydrogen peroxide pictures
  • Bleach contains sodium hypochlorite which has anti-microbial properties. Bleach removes bad odour upon contact. Mix 10ml bleach to 100ml water.
  • White vinegar is acidic, neutralizes odours and kills microbes. Mix 100cl white vinegar to 300cl water. Use this solution to rinse the toilet bowl and the floor after washing every part with soap.
  • Bicarbonate of soda is popular as an odour neutralizer. It also changes the pH of an environment to that which does not favour microbial growth. Mix 5 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda with 50cl of water and mix. Use to rinse the toilet bowl and floor after washing.
  • Hydrogen peroxide has anti-microbial and disinfectant properties. It can also remove odours including urine odour by binding with uric acid. Mix 10cl hydrogen peroxide with 50cl water and rinse the toilet bowl and floor. Wipe clean.

The first step to having an odourless toilet is to wash every part of the toilet bowl (inside, outside, front, back, the seat and every part of the cover or lid) and the floor with soap before rinsing with the ingredients listed above.

Try any of these cheap and easily available ingredients if you have been having toilet odour issues and can’t seem to get rid of it despite your best efforts!

Cure Dandruff Fast With Coconut Oil.

Image result for coconut oil picturesDandruff, called medically seborrhea, is a scalp condition in which there is flaking of the scalp skin. Dandruff is mostly chronic and can persist for years, making it difficult to treat. Dandruff is characterized by the appearance of dry flakes of dead skin that are being shed.

Dandruff can result from dry scalp and skin conditions such as:
  • Psoriasis.
  • Eczema.
  • Dermatitis.
  • Fungus overgrowth.

The chief cause of dandruff is a fungus called Malassezia which feeds on the oil that is secreted by hair follicles. Dandruff occurs when these fungi grow out of control and the scalp tries to get rid of the fungi by shedding skin cells at a higher than normal rate.

Coconut oil is very effective for curing dandruff because of its two following properties;
  • Anti-fungi.
  • Moisturizing.

Coconut oil kills the fungi fast and within a week of applying coconut oil to your scalp, the dandruff will be gone. It is that simple.

For most people that have dealt with dandruff for years with a lot of expensive shampoos, oils, creams and other treatments, this may sound too simple to be effective. The choice is yours.

Coconut oil also has so many other properties for health, beauty and healing.

Undesirable Siam Weed Is Wonderful For Healing Wounds.

Image result for siam weed pictureSiam weed is called Chlomolaena odorata and is known by other names like devil weed, king weed, common floss flower, Christmas bush, etc. In Nigeria, it is known as Awolowo, Akintola and obiorakara.

Image result for siam weed pictureThe origin of this plant is America but it has spread to other parts of the world. Siam weed is considered to be a pesky weed everywhere it grows because of its invasive nature. Most ruminants avoid eating the leaves because of the offensive odour given off by the leaves when they are crushed. The leaves are also toxic to most animals when they are taken raw. In most parts of the world, Siam weed is highly undesirable as it is considered to be worthless.

Despite the fact that Siam weed plant is considered not useful, it however has therapeutic properties because of the active components that are present in them. Siam weed leaves have the following properties;

  • Anthelmintic.
  • Anti-bacterial.
  • Anti-fungal.
  • Antioxidant.
  • Anti-inflammatory.
  • Astringent.
  • Insecticidal.
  • Detoxifying.

Due to these properties, Siam weed leaf extract is used medicinally and can be used to treat:
  • Wounds, cuts, burns and bruises.
  • Rashes, itches and some other skin conditions.
  • Diarrhea.
  • Malaria.
  • Toothache.
  • Diabetes.

In parts of Africa and Asia, Siam weed leaf extract is used mostly to treat and heal wounds effectively because of its ability to do the following;
  • Promote healing.
  • Reduce healing time.
  • Stop bleeding.
  • Reduce inflammation.
  • Ease pain.
  • Disinfect.
Undesirable Siam weed is useful in its own way and is good medicine too. It is not advisable to consume Siam weed leaves or its extracts raw. Cooking or drying the leaves destroys the toxic components. The raw extract is best used topically.
